You start by crossing scenic mountain roads and visiting the famous Ait Ben Haddou before continuing to the beautiful valleys of Dades and Todra. The journey then leads you to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you enjoy a camel ride and spend a night in a traditional desert camp under the stars.
On the way back, you travel through the stunning Draa Valley and visit Ouarzazate before crossing the mountains again to return to Marrakech.
This tour is a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and natural beauty, giving you a real taste of Morocco’s desert life, Berber traditions, and breathtaking landscapes.
Your journey starts early in the morning from Marrakech. You travel through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the road, you enjoy amazing mountain views, Berber villages, and traditional landscapes.
You stop to visit Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This old village was used in many movies and TV shows like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, continue toward Ouarzazate and drive through the Valley of Roses before arriving in the beautiful Dades Valley. Spend the night in a local hotel or riad surrounded by mountains and nature.
Driving time: Around 6–7 hours
After breakfast, continue your desert adventure toward Todra Gorge. The canyon is famous for its high rock walls and peaceful river. You can walk through the gorge and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views.
Later, drive through small desert towns and palm groves until you arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
In the afternoon, ride camels across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the sunset. Arrive at your luxury or standard desert camp where you enjoy dinner, and a magical night under the stars.

Wake up early to enjoy the peaceful sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, leave Merzouga and start the journey toward Ouarzazate.
Travel through desert landscapes, small Berber villages, and rocky valleys. You can stop in Rissani, known for its traditional market and local culture. Continue through Alnif and the beautiful desert roads of southern Morocco.
Later, drive through the amazing Draa Valley, famous for its long palm groves, old kasbahs, and scenic oasis views. Enjoy several photo stops along the road while discovering one of the most beautiful valleys in Morocco.
Arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening. Check into your hotel or riad and relax after a full day of travel and sightseeing.
Driving time: Around 6–7 hours
After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the most beautiful and historic villages in Morocco. Walk through the old mud-brick streets and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the kasbah.
Continue your journey through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the road, enjoy stunning mountain views, traditional Berber villages, and several stops for photos and relaxation.
Arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening. Your driver will transfer you to your riad, hotel, or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.

This tour includes long driving days through mountains and desert roads, so comfortable clothes are recommended. Regular stops are made for photos, coffee, and rest during the journey.
Desert temperatures change depending on the season. Days can be hot, while nights may become cold, especially from November to February. Bring layers and a warm jacket for the evening.
Camel trekking is part of the desert experience. The ride usually lasts around 1 hour during sunset or sunrise. Comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and sunscreen are highly recommended.
Most hotels and desert camps offer Wi-Fi, but the connection may be limited in remote desert areas around Merzouga.
Cash is useful during the trip for lunches, drinks, tips, and optional activities. Small villages and desert areas may not always accept credit cards.
Vegetarian and special dietary meals can usually be arranged if requested before the tour starts.
