4 Day Tour from Marrakech to Fes Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Your 4 day journey starts in Marrakech in the morning. We travel through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the highest mountain roads in Morocco. Along the way, you can enjoy amazing views of Berber villages, green valleys, and mountain landscapes.
We continue to the famous fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its old kasbahs and movie locations. You will have time to walk through the ancient village and enjoy lunch nearby.
After that, we head to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco.” We pass through the beautiful Valley of Roses before arriving in the stunning Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional hotel or riad surrounded by the mountains.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

We visit local nomad families to discover their lifestyle and enjoy authentic Moroccan hospitality. Then we continue to the village of Khamlia, known for its traditional Gnawa music brought from Sub-Saharan Africa. You will enjoy live music and learn about local culture and history.
During the day, we also explore black volcanic desert landscapes, hidden villages, and small desert oases. You can enjoy optional activities such as quad biking or sandboarding.
In the evening, relax with dinner and spend another unforgettable night in the desert camp or a comfortable hotel near the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast, we leave the desert and travel north toward Ziz Valley, famous for its large palm groves and panoramic views. We continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in the cedar forests near Azrou Cedar Forest, where you may see wild monkeys.
Later, we visit Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets, cool weather, and European-style architecture.

The camel trek in the Merzouga Desert usually takes around 1 to 1.5 hours during sunset. If you prefer not to ride camels, a 4×4 transfer to the desert camp can normally be arranged.
