5 Day Morocco Tour from Fes

Your journey starts early from Fes toward the Sahara Desert. You will pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its clean streets and European-style architecture.

Next, you visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may see wild Barbary macaques. The drive continues through Midelt, a quiet mountain town surrounded by landscapes.

After lunch, you travel through the stunning Ziz Valley, full of palm trees and dramatic cliffs.

By evening, you arrive in Merzouga, where you switch to camels and ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You enjoy a sunset in the desert before reaching your luxury or standard desert camp.

Wake up early in the Sahara and enjoy breakfast near the dunes.

You start your 4x4 desert exploration by visiting nomad families living in the desert. Here you learn how they survive in the harsh Sahara environment, their traditions, and daily lifestyle inside the desert tents.

After this authentic cultural experience, you continue toward Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music and deep African heritage.

In the afternoon, you return to Merzouga where you can relax, walk near the dunes, or enjoy optional sandboarding.

Instead of staying in the desert camp, you spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel in Merzouga, with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

After breakfast at your riad in Merzouga, you leave the desert behind and start your journey toward the mountains.

First, you stop in Rissani, a traditional town with one of the oldest markets in southern Morocco. You can walk through the local souk and see spices, dates, and handmade goods.

Next, you continue driving to the Todra Gorges, one of the most beautiful canyons in Morocco. Huge rock walls rise on both sides of a narrow river. You can take a walk here and enjoy the fresh air and amazing views.

In the afternoon, you drive through the scenic Dades Valley, also known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” You will see strange rock formations called “monkey fingers” and beautiful mountain landscapes.

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.

After breakfast, you continue your journey through the famous road of kasbahs.

You drive to Ouarzazate, a calm desert city known for film studios and movies shot here. You can take a short stop to explore or take photos.

Then you visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is an old village made of clay buildings. It looks like a movie scene and has been used in many famous films and series.

After lunch, you start crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The road is winding, but the views are amazing with mountains, valleys, and Berber villages.

By evening, you arrive in Marrakech. Check in at your riad and relax after a long driving day.

After breakfast, you explore the vibrant city of Marrakech.

You can visit the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, full of food stalls, storytellers, and street performers. Then explore the beautiful Koutoubia Mosque from outside.

Continue to the peaceful Majorelle Garden, full of exotic plants and blue colors. You can also visit the souks of the Medina, where you find spices, carpets, leather, and handmade crafts.
