Your 7-day journey starts in the beautiful northern city of Tangier. After meeting your driver, you travel through the green Rif Mountains toward the famous blue city of Chefchaouen. Along the road, you enjoy mountain views, small villages, and fresh countryside air.
When you arrive in Chefchaouen, you will have free time to walk through the blue-painted streets, visit the old medina, and relax at Plaza Uta El Hammam. The calm atmosphere and colorful alleys make this city one of the most beautiful places in Morocco.

After breakfast, you leave Chefchaouen and continue your journey toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in North Africa. During your visit, you can admire ancient mosaics, stone arches, old columns, and ruins that reflect the rich history of the Roman Empire in Morocco.
After exploring Volubilis, you continue to the imperial city of Meknes. Known for its historical gates and royal history, Meknes offers a peaceful atmosphere compared to other imperial cities. You visit Bab Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco, along with the old medina and nearby historical sites. The city combines Islamic architecture, traditional markets, and impressive historical monuments.
Later in the afternoon, you continue to Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. After arriving, you check into your riad located inside or near the old medina. Today, you discover the rich history and culture of Fes with a local guide. Your visit starts inside the old medina of Fes, one of the oldest and largest medieval cities in the world. Walking through its narrow streets feels like traveling back in time. The medina is filled with traditional markets, handmade crafts, spice shops, and historic buildings that reflect centuries of Moroccan culture.
During the guided tour, you visit famous historical sites including Al Karaouine University, considered the oldest university in the world, the beautiful Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Chouara Tanneries where leather is still produced using traditional methods. You also explore local souks where artisans create pottery, carpets, metalwork, and traditional Moroccan goods by hand.
Later, you visit the Royal Palace gates and enjoy a panoramic view over the city from one of the nearby hills. After breakfast, you leave Fes and begin your journey toward the Sahara Desert. Your first stop is Ifrane, a clean and peaceful mountain town often called the Switzerland of Morocco because of its European-style houses, gardens, and cool climate. You will have time to walk around and take photos before continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
The journey continues through the cedar forests near Azrou where you may see wild Barbary monkeys living among the trees. After a short break, you travel through mountain roads and Berber villages before stopping for lunch in Midelt, known for its apple farms and mountain scenery. Later, you continue through the beautiful Ziz Valley filled with thousands of palm trees, small oasis villages, and impressive desert landscapes.
In the afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, where the golden dunes of the Sahara begin. Here, you leave the vehicle and ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes while enjoying the peaceful beauty of the desert sunset. After arriving at the desert camp, you enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and a campfire under a sky full of stars. Overnight stay in a luxury desert camp in Merzouga.
Wake up early to enjoy a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most unforgettable moments of your journey. After breakfast at the camp, you return by camel or 4x4 to the village of Merzouga and continue your adventure toward southern Morocco.
Your first stop is Rissani, a historic desert town famous for its traditional market and authentic local atmosphere. The town is considered the gateway to the Sahara and is known for its connection to ancient caravan trade routes. You can walk through the local souk and discover spices, dates, handmade products, and traditional Moroccan goods.
Afterward, you continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive natural canyons in Morocco. Massive rock walls rise high above the river, creating a beautiful place for walking and taking photos. After some free time in the gorge, you continue along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing palm groves, mud-brick villages, and mountain landscapes.

You continue to the famous fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most important historical sites in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient ksar is built from clay and mud-brick architecture and has appeared in movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You can walk through the old alleys and climb to the top for amazing views over the surrounding valley.
After lunch, the journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the road, you enjoy breathtaking mountain views, traditional Berber villages, and winding roads crossing Morocco’s highest mountain pass. In the evening, you arrive in Marrakech where you check into your riad or hotel and enjoy your final evening in the Red City.
