Your 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech starts early in the morning. We leave the city and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, known for its clean streets, alpine style houses, and cool weather. It is often called the Switzerland of Morocco.
After that, we continue to the cedar forest near Azrou. Here, you can walk among the giant cedar trees and sometimes see wild monkeys in the forest. Then, we drive through mountain villages and stop for lunch in Midelt.
In the afternoon, the landscape changes as we head toward the desert. We pass through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees and old villages. There will be stops for photos along the way.
By evening, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert. You will ride camels across the golden dunes while watching the sunset. Later, enjoy dinner, and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
After breakfast at the camp, you return by camel or 4x4 to the village. Today is dedicated to exploring the desert area around Merzouga.
We visit nomad families living in traditional tents near the dunes. You will learn about their simple lifestyle and desert traditions. Then, we continue to Khamlia, a small village famous for Gnawa music. and discover the history of the local people.
Later, we visit old mines, desert landscapes, and small oasis areas around the Sahara. Lunch can be enjoyed in a local restaurant with traditional Moroccan food.
In the afternoon, you have free time to relax at your hotel or explore the dunes. You can also try optional activities like quad biking or sandboarding. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel near the dunes.
Today we leave the desert and travel toward the stunning canyons of southern Morocco. Our first stop is Rissani, known for its traditional market and rich history as an old trading town.
Next, we continue through desert landscapes and small Berber villages until we reach Todra Gorge. The huge canyon walls and fresh river make this place one of the most beautiful natural sites in Morocco. You can enjoy a short walk between the cliffs and relax near the river.
After lunch, we drive through the Valley of Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This area is filled with old mud-brick villages and amazing mountain scenery.
In the evening, we arrive in the beautiful Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional hotel overlooking the valley.
After breakfast, we continue the journey toward Marrakech. Along the way, we pass through Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco because many famous movies were filmed there.
Then, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient kasbah is one of the most famous places in Morocco, with beautiful mud-brick buildings and amazing views from the top.
After lunch, we drive across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy panoramic views, mountain villages, and winding roads during the drive.
By late afternoon or evening, we arrive in Marrakech, where your 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech ends.
This is a long road trip with several hours of driving each day. You will stop many times for photos, breaks, and sightseeing. The journey is part of the experience, not only the destinations.
The weather changes a lot during the trip. The mountains can be cold, while the Sahara Desert can be very hot during the day. Nights in the desert are usually cold, especially in winter.
Pack light and comfortable clothes for the trip. Bring a warm jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. A small backpack is useful for your night in the desert camp.
You will stay in a mix of hotels and a desert camp in Merzouga. The camp can be standard or luxury depending on your booking. All accommodations are clean and comfortable.
