Ouarzazate and Aït Benhaddou Day Trip
Your day trip starts early in the morning from Marrakech. We travel through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass with amazing views of Berber villages, valleys, and mountain landscapes. Along the way, there are short stops for photos and relaxing breaks.
After the mountain drive, we arrive at the famous village of Aït Benhaddou, one of the most beautiful ksars in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk through the old mud-brick streets, explore the traditional houses, and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the village. Many famous movies and series were filmed here.
After free time in Aït Benhaddou, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here you can visit the Taourirt Kasbah or discover the famous film studios where many international movies were produced. You will also have free time for lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we begin the drive back to Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains. We arrive in the evening after a full day of culture, history, and beautiful landscapes.

Know Before You Go
The trip starts early in the morning from Marrakech and returns in the evening after a full day of travel and sightseeing.
The drive to Ouarzazate is long but very scenic. You will cross the High Atlas Mountains and the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass with many photo stops along the way.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, especially for visiting Aït Benhaddou, as you will walk on uneven paths and climb to viewpoints.
Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. A light jacket is also recommended, especially in the morning or during winter months.
Carry some cash for lunch, drinks, and optional entrance fees. It’s also good to bring a camera or phone for photos of the amazing landscapes and kasbahs.
