The day trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah commences from Marrakech. At 8:00 am in the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your place of stay. From there, we will set off towards Ouarzazate, which is recognized as the gateway to the desert.
On our way, we will make a stopover at Ait Berka village, located at the foot of the High Atlas mountain range. We will then proceed towards the Tizi N-Tichka summit, which stands at an altitude of 2260 meters above sea level. During the drive, you can soak in the splendid views of the majestic High Atlas Mountains, which are the highest in Morocco.
Our next stop will be at the historical Telouet Kasbah, also known as EL Glaoui Kasbah. After that, we will make our way to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an ancient fortress that is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
The Kasbah has been used as a backdrop in several famous movies, such as Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and even TV series like Game of Thrones. We will have lunch in the Kasbah before proceeding towards Ouarzazate. In the city, we will visit the cinema studios and Taourirt Kasbah.
Finally, in the afternoon, we will head back to Marrakech, and your driver will drop you off at your place of accommodation.
