Your day trip to Essaouira from Marrakech will begin at 8:30 AM, with a pickup from your hotel. You’ll journey west across the arid but scenic Haouz plains, heading toward the coastal jewel of Morocco.
Your first stop will be in the village of Chichaoua for a relaxing coffee break. Then, as you continue to Sidi Mokhtar, you’ll drive through a forest of Argan trees, where you may catch sight of the famous tree-climbing goats — a perfect opportunity for a memorable photo.
Upon reaching Essaouira, your visit begins at the harbor, where colorful fishing boats bob in the waves beside the old Portuguese fortifications. You’ll see rows of historic cannons aimed out over the Atlantic Ocean — remnants of the city’s strategic military past.
