8 Days Morocco Tour itinerary from Marrakech

The 8 Days Morocco Tour itinerary begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your Marrakech accommodation. Next, drive across the spectacular Tizi-N-Tichka pass and High Atlas Mountains. Waking up early morning is an amazing idea in order to see a stunning sunrise in the midst of the Desert. After having a yummy breakfast, you ride Camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits you, to start an excursion driving off-road to visit a nomad family; modest Amazigh (berber) people known for their warm hospitality to guests or strangers long time ago, there you can sit under their handmade woven tent learning about their simple lifestyle, they welcome you with a charming smile and with a cup of tea (berber whiskey).

After a delicious breakfast, your 5th day of the tour will start with a drive to Rissani city; closest town to Merzouga and the ancient capital of Tafilalt. Rissani remains a major commercial center, with a traditional souk, lively more in 3 days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday). After a stroll exploring souk’s interesting places, we continue to Erfoud city that was built on fossils, nowadays marble fossils in an important industry, the most famous finds are: Trilobites, Dinosaur fossils, Ammonites.

Later, continue the road to the cedar forest where you will have the opportunity to see the wild monkeys and to take some beautiful memories with them. After, you visit Ifran city; called the Switzerland of Moroco or the city of the lion, it’s considered as the second cleanest city in the world according to MBC Times. Finally, we drop you off at your accommodation in Fes city.

After breakfast, we pick you up from your accommodation to discover Fes city; second largest city in Morocco, considered as one the 4 imperial cities.

The sightseeing guided tour will be accompanied with a knowledgeable local guide. First, you visit the Royal Palace Gate. Moreover, you visit the gateway to the ancient Medina Bab Boujloud known as the blue gate built in 12th century, considered as historical landmark. Also, Quaraouin mosque & university; the oldest university in the world, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Medrasa Bouanania.

Next, we drive around 30 kilometers outside of Meknes to Volubilis; Amazigh-Roman remains, the meaning of its name comes from the Amazigh word “Walili” that means Oleander that grows in this historical monument, also UNESCO has designated it a World Heritage Site, it has been properly kept, plus it contains historic pillars and arches, as well as several lovely mosaics that are strewn throughout.

After a stroll in the beautiful ruins, we drive north toward the blue city Chefchaouen located in the Rif Mountains also this beautiful blue pearl city is renowned for its blue-painted structures and alleys, makes a great place for photography. Night stay in a hotel.
