On the first day of your 8 days Morocco tour from Tangier, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation and enjoy on our journey. We’ll traverse the scenic Rif Mountains in northern Morocco, known for their botanical beauty and home to the Rif Berbers.

The mountains are adorned with charming villages, offering a glimpse into the vibrant lives of the locals who reside there.

Our destination is Chefchaouen, a magical town nestled between two mountains in the Rif range. Its white houses contrast with the indigo blue paint, creating a stunning visual spectacle.

The town’s narrow and unpredictable streets beckon you to explore, making it an ideal place for leisurely strolls and admiring its enchanting beauty.

One of the highlights of the medina is the Square of Outa El-Hammam. Its unique allure stems from the color of the homes, and the maze of narrow streets, some of which are dead ends, adds to its charm.

This tranquil and secure place will make you feel right at home, thanks to the warm hospitality of the locals. You’ll spend the night in a riad and enjoy a delightful dinner.

After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, we will bid farewell to Chefchaouen and continue our journey towards Volubilis.

The scenic drive takes us through the winding and captivating roads of the Rif Mountains, offering a unique and memorable experience with hidden landscapes that are often overlooked.

Our next stop is the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Here, we will enjoy on an extensive tour of the Roman ruins, marveling at the remarkably preserved mosaics that still retain their splendor.

Continuing our travel, we will reach the imperial city of Meknes, where we will savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant near the vibrant square of El-Hedim.

Despite its modest size, Meknes holds hidden architectural gems, including the grand Bab El Mansour, the largest gate in Morocco and all of Africa, serving as a symbolic landmark.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore the lively El-Hedim square and visit the splendid Moulay Ismail Tomb. Once we’ve immersed ourselves in the wonders of Meknes, we’ll journey directly to the captivating city of Fes, where you’ll spend the night.

Today, we enjoy on a journey to explore the prominent attractions of Fes city, renowned as the cultural hub of Morocco and the oldest in Africa. Fes has preserved its walls and entrance gates, immersing visitors in its rich heritage.

Strolling through the streets of Fes feels like stepping back in time, where neighborhoods were divided by guilds and transportation relied on foot, avoiding the bustling donkeys carrying goods.

Fes boasts several fascinating places and landmarks, including the renowned Chouara Tannery, Karaouine Mosque, Madrassas, the Royal Palace of Fes, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Seffarine Square, and the picturesque Bab Boujloud.

During lunchtime, we’ll make a stop before continuing our journey to visit a cooperative of tile makers. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the craftsmanship firsthand. Later, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

You’ll spend the night at a hotel or riad, immersing yourself in the city’s charm.

After breakfast, your guide/driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes. Today’s journey takes us from Fes to the enchanting Merzouga desert.

As we leave Fes, we’ll cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, witnessing a landscape that may seem inhospitable but teems with life and captivating stories.

Our route will lead us through the town of Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Its alpine-style houses with sloping roofs offer a unique contrast to traditional Moroccan architecture.

You’ll have the opportunity to capture picturesque moments, surrounded by the striking nature of the National Park, which is home to the fascinating Barbary monkeys in its vast cedar tree forest.

As we continue, the landscape transitions from lush trees to a more barren terrain. We’ll make a stop in Midelt for lunch before enjoying on the road that leads us through the magnificent Ziz Valley.

Stretching as far as the eye can see, the valley is adorned with palm trees, a hidden treasure in Morocco, where around 8,000 palm trees thrive along the river’s course.

Nature lovers will be enthralled by the majestic mountain views shaped by years of water erosion from the High Atlas Mountains. The contrasting hues of green palm trees and red earth, along with the ochre-colored Berber houses, create a breathtaking spectacle in this valley.

Continuing our journey, the landscape gradually transforms until we reach the sandy desert. As we arrive in Merzouga, we’ll settle into our riad or hotel at the base of the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes.

Here, we’ll enjoy a cup of tea while the camels are prepared to take us to the desert camp. The camel trek provides an incredible visual experience, allowing for memorable photos along the way.

Once we reach the camp, you’ll witness the captivating view of the sunset from atop a high dune. As night falls, the desert takes on a different hue, and temperatures may become cooler depending on the season.

A delightful dinner awaits you at the desert camp, followed by a magical night under the stars, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Don’t miss one of the desert’s greatest spectacles – the sunrise. Today, we’ll wake up early to witness the magnificent colors as the sun rises over the dunes, a truly unforgettable experience.

Afterwards, you’ll ride camels back to your accommodation in Merzouga for a refreshing shower and a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Our next stop is Rissani, where we’ll explore its vibrant traditional market, known as the largest in Southern Morocco.

Continuing our journey, we’ll reach Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorges. With towering rock walls reaching over 300 meters in height, this magical place, shaped by water and air erosion over centuries, is a haven for climbers.

A gentle stroll alongside the crystalline waters of the river adds to the enchanting ambiance.

Following a delightful lunch break amidst the heart of the gorge, we’ll continue our expedition to the captivating Dades Valley. Arriving in the early evening, we’ll savor a delicious dinner and spend the night in this picturesque valley.

After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, we’ll enjoy on a scenic drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as the city of roses, and Ouarzazate.

Along the Dades Valley road, you’ll have countless opportunities to capture beautiful pictures of the thousand kasbahs that line the route.

We’ll make a brief stop at the Atlas Movies Studio in Ouarzazate before continuing to our next destination.

Our next stop is the renowned Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. This architectural marvel was constructed by Thami El Glaoui, a prominent Berber chieftain, in the early 20th century.

It served as a vital stop on his journeys between the Sahara and Marrakech. Since 1987, Ait Benhaddou has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We’ll take a break for lunch in this remarkable kasbah, savoring the surroundings. Afterward, our journey continues as we traverse the majestic High Atlas Mountains, passing through panoramic vistas and charming Berber villages along the way.

The highlight of the mountain crossing is the Tizi N’Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters.

Finally, we’ll arrive in the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you’ll spend the night at a hotel or riad, immersing yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of this bustling city.

After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation, today is dedicated to exploring the important sights and monuments of Marrakech, famously known as “the red city of Morocco.”

We’ll ensure you visit the key historical and cultural sites, including the majestic Majorelle Gardens, the serene Menara Gardens, the iconic Koutoubia Tower, the historic Saadian Tombs, and the exquisite Bahia Palace.

A visit to Marrakech wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of Jamma El-Fna Square. Here, you’ll witness an array of entertainment, including dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artisans, and captivating snake charmers.

For lunch, we’ll head to a restaurant near the square, allowing you to indulge in local flavors. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to wander through the bustling souks, where you’ll discover a vast array of handicrafts and treasures.

In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time to explore other parts of the city at your own pace.
