The 5 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert starts with an early pick up from your accommodation in Fes toward Todgha Gorges. First, the journey takes you through diverse landscapes, starting with a visit to the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland,” followed by a stop at the cedar forests of Azrou, where you will have  opportunity to encounter the playful wild monkeys and capture memorable photographs of Morocco’s wilderness.

Then, proceed to the small Berber village of Zaida, where a delightful lunch awaits you. Later, traverse the middle Atlas Mountains, relishing the scenic beauty of Midelt and its surrounding landscapes, before reaching the quaint town of Er-Rich. Our route leads us through Errachidia and its picturesque villages, immersing ourselves in the authentic charm of rural Morocco.

Finally, in the evening we arrive at the enchanting Todgha Gorges, nestled amidst towering cliffs, you will spend your first night in Todgha Gorges at a comfortable hotel, allowing you to unwind and appreciate the serene beauty of the surroundings.

Following a delightful breakfast at your accommodation in Todgha Gorges, you enjoy on the second day of our Morocco 5 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert. First, the journey takes you from Todgha Gorges to the Merzouga Desert, home of the famous Erg Chebbi sand dunes passing through Tinjdad, Al Jorf, Erfoud, and Rissani, each offering its own unique beauty and cultural significance.

 Furthermore, as we make our way through the scenic route, you will have the opportunity to witness the charm of the scattered Berber villages that dot the landscape. After a pause for lunch time, head toward the Sahara Desert.

In the afternoon reach at the gorgeous sand dunes of Merzouga, here you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel, allowing you to fully enjoy yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the desert and the vastness and tranquility of the surrounding dunes as you embrace the unique experience of being in the heart of the Sahara Desert.

After breakfast and a refreshing shower, you will enjoy on an off-road tour around the Erg Chebbi desert, visiting deserted mines, encountering Berber nomads, and exploring the palm tree oasis. Lunch will be enjoyed either in the desert or at a local restaurant in Khamlia, accompanied by traditional Gnaoua music.

Return to Merzouga for a camel ride to the heart of the sand dunes, witnessing the sunset from one of the highest dunes in the area and enjoying Sandboarding. Finally reach to  well-equipped Desert camp with drum music played by local nomads and enjoy the beautiful view of the starry sky.

On the fourth day of your 5 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert, you’ll witness the sunrise before returning to the hotel for breakfast and meeting your driver. We’ll head west towards Rissani, a former trading hub, where you’ll explore the bustling souk if it coincides with market days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays).

Our journey continues to Erfoud town, known for its fossils, then we’ll travel through the Ziz Valley and Oasis, passing by Errachidia and Er-Rich, before arriving in Midelt by evening. You’ll spend the night at a hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Midelt and head back towards Fes city. Along the way, you’ll be captivated by the stunning landscapes, including the enchanting cedar forest of Azrou, home to wild monkeys and other wildlife.

We’ll also pass through the picturesque snowy city of Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its resemblance to a Swiss ski resort, also considered as the second cleanest city in the world according to MBC times.
