Itinerary Details:
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara
The 2 Days Morocco Desert Tour to Marrakech begins with an early pick-up from your accomodation in Fes. Then, we drive south via Imouzzer to Ifrane city; Switzerland of Morocco, known for its subzero temperatures, snowfall, and alpine-style houses, a stop will be made to see the lion stone. Plus, visit the wild monkeys known as Barbary Macaques in the Cedar Forest. Later, continue on to Midelt; city of the apple, every year in October a festival takes place in this town and attracts thousands of people from Morocco and abroad. Free time for lunch. Then, we head toward the Sahara Desert passing by the Ziz River and via the Tizi-n-Talghmt Pass
In the afternoon reach to Merzouga to commence camel ride to the heart of the sand dunes, a pause will be made in the middle of nowhere to watch the spectacular sunset from one of the highest dunes. Then, continue the camel ride to the Desert camp, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, after the dinner, enjoy the atmosphere of the sky and bonfire while listening to Berber drums music played by local nomads under a starry, open sky. Day 2: Merzouga Sahara Desert – Todra Gorges – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
The second day of 2 Days Morocco Desert Tour, waking up early in a great idea to contemplate the colourful sunrise in the midst of the desert. After breakfast, you ride camels back to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. Then, leave the desert and head to the Todgha Gorges, via Touroug, Millaab and Tinjdad palm trees, a stop will be made in the Todra River’s flow formed a massive canyon through the mountains, creating a gorge with steep red rock sides.
